Mini-Circuits designs manufactures and distributes integrated circuits modules and sub-systems for high performance radio frequency (RF) and microwave design sales and manufacturing locations in over 30 countries Mini-Circuits products are used in a range of wired and wireless communications applications. Our products are also used in detection measurement and imaging applications including military communication guidance and electronic countermeasure systems commercial scientific military land sea and aircraft; automotive systems medical systems and industrial test equipment.

Mini-Circuits sells its products to over 20000 customers globally through our direct sales force applications engineering staff sales representatives as well as through our extensive website.
Position Summary:
The L1 Visual Inspector is responsible for conducting visual inspections of all incoming parts and materials to ensure they meet quality standards and conform to specified requirements. This role plays a critical part in the quality assurance process by identifying and documenting any non-conformities upon receipt. Additionally this position ensures proper labeling and placement of accepted parts in designated staging areas for further handling or storage by the kit room personnel.
Job Function:
  • Read and interpret assembly and mechanical drawings to determine inspection requirements.
  • Perform visual and electrical inspection of various components using a vision measuring system calipers micrometers microscopes magnifying lamps force gauges LCR meters and multimeters.
  • Verify part numbers and quantities against accompanying documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct tests such as resistance to solvents DC continuity and material composition using equipment like an XRF machine.
  • Identify and segregate defective units or materials; report findings to the Incoming Inspection Supervisor.
  • Ensure all received parts are properly acknowledged and logged in the IQA system.
  • Complete verify and sign all required documentation in the IQA database accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all written and verbal instructions outlined in the Inspection Plan.
  • Adhere to ESD guidelines and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma GED or international equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in inspection or related experience.
  • Ability to distinguish colors in accordance with the ISHIRA test for color blindness.
  • Basic computer skills and understanding of the MS Office Suites.
  • Ability to read write and orally communicate in English and have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have basic operational knowledge of how to use the equipment within the department.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Follow all 5S requirements.
  • Update KPI boards on a weekly basis.
