Review supplier performance to ensure fair pricing reliable quality and dependability
Monitor material arrival times and proactively resolve conflicts to minimize delays
Maintain detailed purchase records and spot trends to improve purchasing decisions

Homestead Outdoor Products is a family-owned and operated supplier of high-quality building supplies including fencing decking railing materials and accent pieces. We are looking for an experienced Purchaser to join our team. We are known for exceptional customer service a collaborative work culture and our dedication to providing helpful consultations and the best materials for outdoor projects.

Our Ideal Purchaser:

Experience: 2 years of building supply purchasing experience. Familiarity with building materials and specifications is required.
Computer Skills: MS Office Suite is required. Proficiency in ERP & CRM software is preferred. Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.
Strong Communicator & People Smart: Builds and manages relationships with vendors internal teams and departments communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations and knowing when to push for results assertively.
Detail-oriented & Organized: Able to keep track of inventory monitor procurement and maintain accurate records with precision.
Efficient: Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment ensuring the most important ones are completed first.
Problem-solver: Skilled in addressing issues with suppliers or internal teams finding the best solution and applying effective conflict resolution strategies to ensure smooth operations.
Adaptable: Thrives in a dynamic environment and responds well to changing priorities.
Team-oriented: Works collaboratively with other team members and departments to achieve company goals.
Physically Active: Comfortable working in a warehouse or lumberyard environment including outdoor conditions. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and move materials as needed
