About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Backup Administrator to manage and maintain enterprise backup environments. The role will focus on IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) / Spectrum Protect Linux/AIX systems and Bash scripting.

As a Backup Administrator you will ensure backup and recovery processes run smoothly data is secure and available and procedures comply with internal policies and external regulations.

Important: Candidates must be able to obtain clearance from the national security authority.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain backup systems using IBM TSM.

Monitor backup jobs schedules and restore operations.

Perform system administration tasks on Linux and AIX platforms.

Develop and maintain Bash scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency.

Ensure data integrity availability and compliance with policies and regulations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on disaster recovery planning.

Analyze backup performance and implement improvements.

Document procedures configurations and incident resolutions.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in IBM TSM (Spectrum Protect) administration.

Experience with other backup technologies preferably NetBackup.

Strong Linux and AIX system administration skills.

Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation.

Solid understanding of networking storage systems and enterprise IT environments.

Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and work independently.
