This is a standout opportunity to step into a key leadership role at one of the most distinctive fitness clubs in the Netherlands. The club serves over 5000 members primarily professionals and corporates seeking a premium health and wellness experience.
As Assistant General Manager youll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations ensuring a consistently excellent member experience and building a high-performance team culture. This is a hands-on visible role with a strong presence on the floor ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to bring structure and accountability to a busy team.
Youll also be supported in your longer-term development with a clear path to a future General Manager position.
What Youll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting front-of-house operations including reception and duty management
- Coaching and managing a team of 10 reception staff and 67 duty managers
- Establishing operational consistency through rotas reporting and communication
- Overseeing club presentation member engagement and service delivery
- Collaborating with department heads and supporting the General Manager in all areas
- Improving member satisfaction (target: 85%) through structure and team performance
- Acting as Duty Manager for 24 shifts per week including one weekend day

- The club operates in a unique building dating back to the 1970s requiring attention to infrastructure and maintenance standards
About You
- Operational management experience in fitness hospitality leisure or service environments
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Comfortable working on the floor and leading from the front
- Highly organised and confident creating structure in fast-paced settings
- Able to oversee older buildings and facilities while maintaining high standards
- Ambitious and ready to step into a General Manager role in the near future
