Job Summary

Survey Technician

Location: Towson MD
Employment Type: Full-time Onsite

We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician to join our clients civil design and land development this role you ll process field data create accurate survey deliverables and support engineers and project managers throughout all phases of development. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of boundary topographic and construction projects while collaborating with experienced professionals in a fast-paced detail-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Draft and prepare survey maps as-built drawings and lot grading plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Process field survey data for boundary topographic and construction layout projects.
Research property records plats and deeds to ensure compliance with design standards.
Create cut sheets surface models and project exhibits for engineering and field use.
Provide technical support and guidance to field crews and junior staff.
Maintain organized records of survey data and project documentation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in surveying or civil technology preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in survey drafting processing or coordination in a land development or civil engineering environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required; experience with data collection systems and GPS instruments is a plus.
Strong organizational skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities.
