Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Sterling Integrator (B2B) Consultant with strong expertise in file-based integrations payment messaging and partner onboarding within commercial banking ecosystems. The role involves designing developing and supporting B2B integrations for secure data exchange between the bank and corporate clients leveraging IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and related components.

This position is client-facing requiring deep functional and technical understanding of banking payment systems file transfer protocols and payment message formats (MT ISO 20022).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design configure and maintain IBM Sterling B2B Integrator solutions for secure payment and file exchange.
• Implement integrations for corporate clients clearing houses and internal banking systems.
• Develop and manage business process workflows (BPML/BPWF) for automated data transmission.
• Work with SWIFT MT ISO 20022 NACHA and custom flat-file formats for inbound/outbound transactions.
• Configure and monitor communication adapters and protocols (SFTP AS2 MQ HTTPS FTP/S).
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure smooth partner onboarding and end-to-end message validation.
• Troubleshoot transmission failures routing issues and file processing exceptions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation mappings and integration specifications.
• Support testing deployment and production migration activities as part of project delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5 10 years of experience in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) or Gentran in a banking or financial domain.
• IBM Certified B2B Integrator / B2B Developer certification.
• Experience with IBM Control Center Connect:Direct or MQ.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of business process modeling (BPML) map editor and service configuration.
• Experience handling payment messages (MT101 MT103 MT940 pain/pacs/camt) and reconciliation files.
• Understanding of file routing transformation and validation frameworks.
• Familiarity with encryption standards (PGP SSL/TLS) and certificate management.
• Knowledge of commercial banking payment flows host-to-host integrations and file transmission monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical communication and documentation skills for client interaction.
