Job Summary

The Back-End Developer will be responsible for designing developing testing and deploying solutions within the Oracle Retail ecosystem. The role requires strong technical and functional expertise in Oracle Retail applications (particularly RMS ReSA RPM) hands-on experience in PL/SQL UNIX scripting and integration services. The developer will work closely with business analysts and architects to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

Analyze and understand business requirements and translate them into detailed technical designs and solutions within Oracle Retail Systems.
Design develop test and deploy applications for Oracle Retail Merchandise Systems (RMS) Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) and Retail Price Management (RPM).
Modify and maintain existing applications following organizational standards.
Resolve database performance issues and ensure system reliability.
Document interfaces system design and code changes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to deliver end-to-end retail technology solutions.
Participate in code reviews unit testing and deployment activities.
Support production systems troubleshooting and enhancements as required.
Contribute to process improvements CI/CD integration and automation efforts.

Mandatory / Required Skills

5 years of techno-functional experience with Oracle Retail suites (RMS ReSA RPM).
Strong Oracle PL/SQL and Pro*C programming experience.
Expertise in UNIX shell scripting and Integration Bus / Message Services.
Experience designing and developing complex back-end applications in Oracle Retail environments.
Hands-on experience with GIT/GitLab version control.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Experience in service-oriented architecture (SOA) design and integration.
Solid understanding of production support and maintenance processes.

Highly Desired / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Kafka streaming Kubernetes and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Knowledge of event-driven architecture microservices and RESTful API design.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins Maven or Gradle.
Experience with TES or other job schedulers.
Exposure to containerization and DevOps practices.
