Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AppDynamics Consultant/Developer to design implement and optimize application performance monitoring (APM) solutions. The role involves end-to-end AppDynamics setup observability integrations performance troubleshooting and ensuring application and infrastructure reliability across enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
AppDynamics Implementation & Administration
Deploy and configure AppDynamics controllers agents and extensions for applications databases servers and cloud platforms.
Ensure high availability and scalability of AppDynamics infrastructure.
Onboard applications configure dashboards health rules and alerts.
Observability & Monitoring
Design and implement full-stack observability using AppDynamics and Dynatrace.
Configure Real User Monitoring (RUM) Synthetic Monitoring and API health checks.
Build and optimize dashboards and reports for both business KPIs (latency error rate CX metrics) and technical metrics (throughput MTTR resource utilization).
Performance & Incident Management
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using MELT (Metrics Events Logs Traces) data.
Collaborate with development DevOps and support teams to resolve performance bottlenecks.
Reduce MTTR and improve system resilience via automation and optimized alerting.
Integration & Automation
Integrate AppDynamics with ITSM tools (ServiceNow Jira) for automated incident creation.
Work with cloud platforms (Azure AWS) for hybrid and cloud-native monitoring.
Leverage OpenTelemetry for telemetry pipeline standardization.
Client Engagement & Documentation
Provide technical consulting to stakeholders on observability best practices.
Deliver training documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Support on-call activities during peak traffic events and critical incidents.
Required Skills & Experience
(AppDynamics implementation administration and performance monitoring).
Strong hands-on expertise in AppDynamics (APM EUM RUM Synthetic Monitoring).
Experience with Dynatrace SolarWinds or similar APM/monitoring tools.
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry for observability data collection.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS Azure/AWS cloud services.
Proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL scripting and automation workflows.
Experience in incident problem and change management using ITSM tools (ServiceNow Jira).
Strong analytical troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Good communication skills for client-facing roles.
