Job Summary

Tax Dispute Assistant Manager

We are seeking an experienced Tax Dispute Assistant Manager to join our team responsible for managing and resolving complex tax disputes on behalf of our clients. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. Responsibilities

  • Manage and resolve complex tax disputes with HMRC including Code of Practice 8 and Code of Practice 9 cases
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on tax dispute resolution strategies
  • Conduct thorough investigations and analysis of tax disputes to identify potential errors and areas for appeal
  • Develop and implement effective dispute resolution plans to achieve successful outcomes for clients
  • Collaborate with senior tax professionals to ensure consistency and quality of service delivery
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws regulations and HMRC policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients HMRC and other stakeholders


Requirements


  • 3 years of experience in tax dispute resolution preferably in a senior or management role
  • Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification or equivalent
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws regulations and HMRC policies and procedures including Code of Practice 8 and Code of Practice 9
  • Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results

London Hybrid working model (23 days in the office).
