Job Summary

This is a remote position.

Join Austell Gas System as a Data Entry Assistant in a remote this remote role you will work from your home office supporting remote data processing and administrative tasks that underpin our natural gas utility operations. This remote position enables you to contribute meaningfully without needing to be onsite offering the flexibility of a remote schedule while helping our field and office teams stay coordinated. With remote workflows in place youll handle data that supports service continuity across remote and onsite environments.

Your contributions in this remote role will help ensure the accuracy and accessibility of key operational and customer data. Whether reconciling input from our field technicians coordinating with remote customer-service teams or updating digital records youll be integral to our remote-enabled operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently enter customer account information service logs meter-reading data and other operational details from your remote workspace.

  • Verify and reconcile data for completeness and correctness while collaborating with both remote and onsite colleagues to support remote workflows and field operations.

  • Maintain one or more digital or remote-accessible filing systems and data tracking tools so remote and onsite teams can access information when needed.

  • Communicate virtually with remote customer-service agents field technicians and administrative staff to gather missing details clarify data requirements and ensure seamless remote data flows.

  • Produce regular summaries and status reports from your remote office that support decision-making by remote supervisors and field management.

  • Assist in archive and retention processes ensuring that remote entries version control and documentation meet audit-ready standards across remote and local systems.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline remote tasks recommending remote-friendly tools or remote workflow adjustments that improve productivity across the remote team.

  • Adhere to data compliance confidentiality and security protocols within your remote work environment and ensure remote presence supports those standards.




Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certification in business administration data management or related field preferred.

  • Prior experience in data entry administrative support or clerical roles is an advantage; remote-work experience is highly desirable.

  • Comfortable working remotely with remote collaboration tools spreadsheets databases and digital filing systems.

  • Strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks independently in a remote workspace.

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office or remote setup free from distractions.

  • Effective communication skillsboth written and verbalto interact with remote and onsite team members.

  • Self-motivated disciplined and able to thrive in a fully remote role with minimal supervision.

  • Understanding of data security version control and remote records-management best practices.

Required Skills:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in gas pipeline systems or a related field is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in gas pipeline installation maintenance or a related field is advantageous. Certifications: Valid drivers license; additional certifications related to gas systems are a plus. Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working in various environmental conditions.
