This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care for newborns in a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a Locum MD in Neonatology you will play a critical role in the health and well-being of our youngest patients collaborating closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will be essential in delivering specialized medical care ensuring that every newborn receives the best possible start in life.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to neonates in a hospital setting
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of newborns
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor and manage neonatal patients progress and health outcomes
- Educate and support families regarding neonatal care
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated on best practices in neonatology and pediatric care
Requirements
- MD or equivalent medical degree with specialization in Neonatology
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- 3 years of clinical experience in neonatology or related field
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 12 or 24-hour shifts specific dates
No call requirement
16-bed Level III NICU
Level I Trauma Center
Patient Census: 10 per shift
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
