The Online Typist is responsible for typing and formatting documents data or written materials from various sources. This remote position is perfect for individuals with good typing speed attention to detail and basic computer skills. Youll help ensure that all typed content is accurate organized and professionally presented.
Key Responsibilities:
Type and format documents from handwritten notes audio files or digital text.
Proofread typed materials to correct spelling grammar or formatting errors.
Enter data accurately into online systems or databases.
Maintain confidentiality and data security for all assigned materials.
Meet daily or weekly typing and submission deadlines.
Communicate with supervisors or clients to clarify project requirements.
Organize and save typed files in the correct folders or systems.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 4560 WPM preferred).
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word Google Docs or similar tools).
Strong attention to detail and good grammar skills.
Reliable internet connection and personal computer or laptop.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Prior experience in typing transcription or data entry is a plus but not required.
