Job Summary:
The Transition Lead will be responsible for managing the end-to-end knowledge and process transfer of financial services and accounting processes from onshore to offshore/nearshore locations. This role requires strong project management stakeholder management and process transformation skills to ensure seamless transitions with minimal disruption to business operations. The individual will work closely with internal and external teams to drive successful migration and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Migration & Transformation:
Identify and implement process standardization and efficiency improvements during migration which includes process documentation and mapping
Work with technology teams to ensure seamless integration of digital tools and automation.
Address and mitigate transition risks and provide suggested control measures
Serves as the Subject Matter Expert during the Client Knowledge Transfer and Shadowing phase
Stakeholder & Change Management:
Act as a bridge between onshore and offshore teams ensuring effective communication.
Collaborate with finance accounting IT and operations teams to ensure alignment.
Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to the receiving teams.
Drive change management initiatives to enhance adoption and minimize resistance.
Performance & Governance:
Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for transition success.
Provide real-time coaching and feedback for opportunities identified by the new hires
Provide regular status reports and updates on the training progress to be shared with all stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field.
Atleast 5 years of experience in finance/accounting process transition and migration.
Strong knowledge of financial services and accounting operations.
Experience in project management methodologies
Strong analytical problem-solving and risk management skills.
Excellent communication stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP Oracle etc.) and automation technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in outsourcing offshoring or near shoring finance functions.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting financial processes.
Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
