The Junior Project Associate supports the construction team with day-to-day project coordination tasks across all phases of work. This role helps maintain organized records track project updates and ensure smooth communication between the office site teams and subcontractors. Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator or Project Manager the Junior Project Associate assists in documentation procurement follow-up reporting and administrative duties that keep projects on schedule and well-documented.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Pre-Construction Support
- Assist in collecting project data drawings and specifications.
- Help prepare bid packages and send invitations to subcontractors.
- Support in tracking proposals and compiling comparison summaries.
- Conduct basic quantity takeoffs and assist with initial cost breakdowns.
Procurement Coordination
- Prepare and follow up on purchase requests.
- Keep procurement logs and vendor lists updated.
- Help organize bid evaluations and award documentation.
Construction Phase Support
- Follow up with subcontractors on RFIs submittals and material deliveries.
- Maintain logs and organize site documentation such as daily reports and progress photos.
- Help prepare weekly progress reports and meeting minutes.
- Support the project team in maintaining up-to-date documentation throughout the project.
Document Control
- Maintain proper filing systems for drawings RFIs and correspondence.
- Ensure that all revisions and updates are properly recorded and distributed.
- Upload and organize files on project management platforms.
Administrative & Cost Tracking Support
- Assist in tracking invoices change orders and payment requests.
- Keep accurate records of contracts correspondence and procurement documentation.
- Support with general administrative duties as needed by the project team.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Eager to learn construction processes and project workflows.
- Comfortable working with data documents and technical information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with project management software is a plus.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelors degree in Construction Management Architecture Civil Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
02 years of experience in construction or project coordination. Previous internship or site exposure is a plus.
