Position Summary
The Document Control Clerk is an entry-level position that assists the Document Control Coordinator in the coordination and submission of all project-related documentation for Piping Technology & Products (PT&P) and its subsidiaries including U.S. Bellows SWECO Fab and Pipe Shields. This role ensures that all drawings reports and quality documentation comply with customer specifications project timelines and internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Documentation and Submittals
- Manage daily submittals of drawings procedures and project-related documents for all customer purchase orders.
- Coordinate document packages across multiple departments (Drafting Engineering and Quality Control) to ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Review and verify all project documentation prior to submission to clients ensuring accuracy completeness and compliance.
- Upload and manage all client-facing documentation through designated client portals.
- Track and record submittal status and responses to ensure timely resubmission or revisions when required.
Interdepartmental and Client Coordination
- Collaborate closely with PT&P divisions (Bellows SWECO Fab and Pipe Shields) to ensure consistent document quality and formatting.
- Communicate with clients regarding document submittals status updates and clarifications to maintain strong working relationships.
RequirementsQualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in document control or quality administration within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) and Adobe PDF tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with engineers clients and managers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
