Job Summary
Flow Traders is looking for a Security Engineer with a strong interest in digital assets security crypto threats and smart contract risk this role you will be part of a highly skilled security team learning and contributing to the safe and secure growth of Flow Traders security operations. You will additionally support the security of our blockchain infrastructure digital asset wallets DeFi interactions and smart contracts.
The successful Security Engineer at Flow Traders will be highly self-motivated has strong attention to detail and a clear focus on innovation and protection with a hacker mindset. What you will do
This role will form part of flow traders wider security team with a specialty in Digital Assets. As a result your responsibilities will be split between:
Security Engineering
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing threats relevant to the Flow Traders global operations
- Contribute to incident response and investigations involving Flow Traders systems and platforms
- Take part in the security on-call schedule for incident handling
Digital Assets Security Engineering
- Collaborate with engineering trading and blockchain development teams to improve secure development practices and promote secure deployment of smart contracts nodes and supporting infrastructure
- Analyzing threats relevant to the Flow traders crypto ecosystem including protocol vulnerabilities DeFi exploits and wallet-related risks
- Help evaluate and integrate security tools for on-chain monitoring anomaly detection and smart contract auditing.
- Support the security review and risk assessment of smart contracts DeFi protocols and blockchain applications Flow Traders interacts with
- Participate in threat intelligence gathering related to blockchain networks new attack vectors and emerging threat actors in the crypto space
What you need to succeed
- 13 years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on blockchain security digital assets or a strong interest in these areas
- Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals digital wallets public/private key cryptography and transaction mechanics
- Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals such as authentication protocols threat detection security vulnerabilities
- Understanding of common crypto threats such as private key leakage reentrancy and flash loan attacks
- Familiarity with EVM based chains and Solidity. Additional exposure is a plus
- Hands-on experience with scripting or programming (e.g. Python JavaScript) to automate tasks or analyze blockchain data
- Eagerness to learn attention to detail and a passion for the rapidly evolving digital asset security landscape
- Creative and independent thinking
- This role is hybrid based in our Amsterdam location
