About Role: Boston Scientific R&D Engineering Spring Co-op 2026

Your Opportunity:

As a co-op at Boston Scientific you will

Researches develops designs and evaluates materials components assemblies processes and/or equipment
Works hands-on in performing testing troubleshooting and prototype assembly for new products and technologies
Utilizes CAD/Solidworks as required while completing assignments
Designs and coordinates engineering tests and experiments
Performs basic statistical analyses as necessary
Maintains detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development
Gathers and provides technical data for technical reviews
Contributes or prepares standard reports/documentation to communicate results to the technical community
Contributes ideas to or generates Intellectual Property submissions
Works cooperatively and collaboratively with peers engineering personnel technicians and management
May provide material testing support and analysis

Required Qualifications:

Pursuing a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering Biomedical Engineering.
Must graduate between Fall 2026 Spring 2027.
Report Writing Experience.
Proficiency in CAD.
Must be able to commit to program dates January 12th 2026 June 26th 2026.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs TNs etc. will not be considered).
Must have reliable transportation to commute to Boston Scientifics Marlborough MA location for the duration of the co-op.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous internship/co-op or research experience.

Knowledge of MATLAB or Python.
Experience in engineering tools- FEA Machining or 3-D printing.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) see vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training pertinent education including licensure and certifications among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly) non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g. any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).

Compensation for exempt non-sales roles may also include variable compensation i.e. annual bonus target and long-term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
