Job Summary

Position Summary

The Program Operations Manager drives operational excellence and strategic program development through AI-enhanced systems data-driven insights and innovative delivery solutions that support professional workforce development initiatives. This role combines traditional program management with advanced technology integration to optimize participant experiences streamline operations and enhance program effectiveness. Working at the intersection of operations technology and strategic planning this position ensures efficient delivery of professional education programs while implementing automation and analytics solutions that drive continuous improvement and scalability. This position reports to the Director of Professional Workforce Development and works collaboratively with academic teams technology partners and external stakeholders. The role serves as a key operational partner while contributing to strategic program development and innovation initiatives.

Essential Functions

Program Development & Strategic Operations (40%)

  • AI-Enhanced Program Design: Support development of innovative professional education programs by utilizing market intelligence tools participant analytics and automated curriculum design platforms to ensure relevance and competitive positioning
  • Operational Workflow Optimization: Design and implement automated systems for program registration participant tracking completion monitoring and credential issuance using AI-powered platforms and integration solutions
  • Quality Assurance & Performance Analytics: Establish comprehensive monitoring systems that track program effectiveness participant satisfaction and learning outcomes using data analytics and automated reporting tools
  • Cross-Portfolio Program Management: Oversee delivery and operations for assigned portfolio of professional development programs ensuring alignment with strategic goals and implementation of best practices across all offerings

Technology Integration & Process Automation (25%)

  • Learning Management System Optimization: Manage advanced LMS configurations API integrations and automated workflows that enhance participant experience and operational efficiency while reducing manual administrative tasks
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Develop and maintain intelligent dashboards that provide real-time insights on enrollment trends participant engagement completion rates and program performance using advanced analytics tools
  • Marketing Automation Support: Implement and manage automated marketing campaigns lead nurturing sequences and participant communication workflows that increase enrollment and enhance engagement
  • Digital Platform Management: Oversee integration and optimization of multiple technology platforms including registration systems learning management systems and participant tracking databases

Participant Experience & Relationship Management (20%)

  • Enhanced Customer Service Delivery: Provide exceptional support to participants through multichannel communication strategies automated response systems and personalized assistance that ensures high satisfaction and retention rates
  • Strategic Partnership Coordination: Maintain and develop relationships with industry partners professional organizations and corporate clients to support program delivery and identify collaboration opportunities
  • Communication Strategy Implementation: Execute comprehensive communication plans that incorporate automated messaging personalized outreach and targeted engagement strategies throughout the participant lifecycle
  • Event Management & Program Launches: Plan and execute program launches networking events and professional development activities using project management tools and automation platforms

Continuous Improvement & Innovation (15%)

  • Process Enhancement Initiatives: Lead ongoing analysis and optimization of operational processes using data insights participant feedback and performance metrics to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements
  • Technology Adoption & Training: Support implementation of new technologies automation tools and digital solutions while providing training and support to team members and stakeholders
  • Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends competitor offerings and emerging technologies to inform program development and strategic planning initiatives
  • Best Practice Development: Document and share successful operational strategies technology implementations and process improvements to support organizational learning and scalability

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency with learning management systems marketing automation platforms and data analytics tools
  • Experience with project management software CRM systems participant tracking platforms and workflow automation solutions
  • Experience with AI applications in education and familiarity with emerging educational technologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems
  • Background in professional education workforce development or continuing education
  • Experience of adult learning principles and professional development trends

Operational & Strategic Skills

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and process improvement techniques
  • Strong project management capabilities with ability to coordinate multiple programs and competing priorities simultaneously
  • Experience with process optimization quality assurance and performance measurement methodologies
  • Ability to analyze data identify trends and translate insights into actionable operational improvements
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in program management operations or related field with demonstrated progression in technical capabilities and process optimization
  • Bachelors degree in higher education administration business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4-5 years of experience in program management operations or related field with demonstrated progression in technical capabilities and process optimization
  • Masters degree in higher education administration business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Professional certifications in project management operations or related areas

Working Environment

  • Standard office environment.
  • Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high.
  • Noise level is quiet to moderate.

Physical Activities

  • Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally required to move about the office/campus.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Salary Grade Number

The salary grade for the position is 9.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $58000 - $65000.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
