Basic Job Functions:
The Receiving Coordinator will function within the storeroom to unload log and receive deliveries that come into the warehouse. The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for receiving inbound material into the computer system processing paperwork withpurchase orders monitoring inventory levels coordinatingwith the Purchasing and Accounting departments. Developing and maintaining relationships with key vendors/contractors while identifying opportunities for cost reduction will be necessary. Coordinating with operating departments on cost savings and improved processes will also be expected. This teammate will maintain the digital database for purchase orders and receipts. They will be required to train certify and operate a forklift and overhead crane to Nucor standards.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Computer skills including Email Excel and Teams.
Willing to learn and advance into Operational or Maintenance role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in purchasing.
ERP system experience
