Job Summary
We are looking for a Vision System Engineer who contributes strongly to the daily analysis of indicators and parameters to ensure quality in the plastics production process through vision systems program (digital inspections) to eradicate defects losses/waste deviations and preserve optimal parameters and quality standards.
The position is based in Mexicali factory Mexico reporting to the Production Manager.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
As Vision System Engineer you will:
- Analyze data coming from vision systems reported by quality control operators and the input from daily reports and define actions also responsible for it.
- Complete Management of vision system: define configure and adjust digital parameters.
- Verify the conditions in line reported: high defect false reject breakdowns color variations etc.
- Ensure the conditions of camera recipe and critical parameters in all lines.
- Recipe for set-up and validations.
- Collaboration with Quality area for defects samples in color validations.
- Train quality control operators in camera management and reports.
- Contact with internal stakeholders for example: peers from other factories around the world to share information and solve issues.
- Contact with external suppliers when needed.
We believe you have
- Bachelors degree in engineering or related career.
- Be fluent in English and Spanish language is a must.
- 3-5 years of experience managing and controlling a Vision System for example: IMD SACMI Univision or INTRAVIS.
- Proven experience developing and providing technical training for new users (operative and administrative collaborators)
- Availability to travel local and international for training
- Nice to have VISA and passport
- SAP knowledge
- Microsoft office: Excel intermediate is necessary
- Proven experience in quality management system: ISO 9001
- Nice to have experience in WCM (World Class Manufacturing) or TPM (Total Production Maintenance)
- Strong Continuous improvement mindset
