Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join the Positive Support Team. This role will involve working directly alongside the Multi Agency Rapid Response Service CAMHS Functional Family Therapists and other Social Care and Health teams. You will contribute to the delivery of an integrated model of care to support children young people and families where young people experience mental health and social care crisis across Cornwall working together to reduce crisis presentations admissions to hospital and children entering the care system.

As a Positive Support Worker you will provide intensive support to parents and children who are experiencing mental health and social care difficulties and will work closely with social care workers family therapists CAMHS practitioners and Mental Health workers to provide this support in a creative and integrated way.

The Role:

As part of Gweres Tus Yowynk Cornwalls Specialist Adolescent Team (incorporating CIoS Youth Justice Service) you will be part of an established and experienced team. This is an opportunity to take a central role in the Positive Support Team achieving better outcomes for children and families in crisis.

This is a public/customer-facing role where the statutory English language requirement for public sector workers applies.

This position will be subject to anenhancedcriminal record disclosure check.

What youll need to succeed:

You will need to be a committed team member with substantial experience in work with children and families including lived experience. You will be able to evidence how you have applied your learning to your practice and have a track record of practice that improves the lives of is preferential for you to have significant experience of evidence-based practice with children and families and the expertise and approach to effectively support families as part of a multi-disciplinary a team committed to partnership working we welcome candidates with lived experience utilising mental health services either as individuals or relating to a child or family member
