Alstom is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Export Finance Americas Head to lead financing strategy and execution across the Americas region and support financial risk control. This pivotal role will drive the structuring and delivery of tailored financing solutions for complex projects enhancing the competitiveness of Alstoms commercial offers and mimimize the financial risks of our projects.
You will be responsible for promoting customer finance strategies securing Export Credit Agency (ECA) support and bringing projects to financial close. The role requires deep expertise in project finance risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement across diverse geographies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financing Leadership: Define and implement customer finance strategies aligned with industrial footprint and client profiles.
- Project Structuring: Lead the structuring of project and export financing offers including ECA-backed solutions leasing schemes and sovereign-backed instruments.
- Execution & Closing: Drive projects to financial and commercial close ensuring alignment with Alstoms global financing standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal teams (legal treasury commercial project management) and external partners (banks ECAs IFIs advisors).
- Risk Management: Ensure robust financial arrangements (trade finance insurances) and compliance with internal directives to mitigate payment and credit risks.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor regional finance teams fostering expertise and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Finance Economics Business or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structured/project/export finance ideally in transport or infrastructure.
- Proven track record in implementing project financings in complex international settings.
- Strong understanding of ECA frameworks Trade finance instruments
- Excellent negotiation analytical and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English; Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
