The UWA School of Social Sciences is a vibrant hub of interdisciplinary research and teaching spanning disciplines such as geography anthropology sociology and political science.
The Future Regions Lab sits within the UWA School of Social Sciences with a research focus on contemporary challenges related to regional development sustainability and innovation. It brings together researchers and stakeholders to co-design solutions for thriving regional futures.
WAterways Western Australia is a new initiative situated within the UWA School of Social Sciences Future Regions Lab supported by the Feilman Foundation. WAterways aim to create a legacy of thriving Western Australian waterways by bringing communities together to address key water management issues. Through a shared journey of projects events and initiatives WAterways aim to increase knowledge collaboration and commitment to a sustainable future. Strengthening water literacy and stewardship among young people is a key focus of this Program.
