Freight Outside Sales Representative

Essential Duties and Responsibities:

• Maintain a sound working knowledge of all markets
• Notify and assist operations and sales support persons by communication of customers needs and preferences.
• Maintain effective professional relationships with customers vendors and fellow employees.
• Assist other sales reps with daily activities as required
• Facilitate freight sales and coordinate with produce sales reps by creating freight rate presentations
• Responsible for Quality and Food Safety
• Responsible for approving credit memos associated with the freight accounts.
• Keeping abreast of market conditions Pricing strategies-developing pricing guides
• Meeting all company and sales profit objectives
• Assist in warehouse tours
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• Timely and accurate with paperwork figures attentive to detail and have good follow-through excellent phone skills PC skills (Outlook Word Excel Power Point)
• Must be flexible and able to deal with a variety of details simultaneously
• Must have proven problem solving skills
• Must have demonstrated excellent written verbal and oral presentation skills
• High School Diploma or GED
• Produce knowledge preferred
