Penskes Brokerage division is looking for an Account Representative to become part of an excellent team. This position coordinates all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement.

Salary: $20.67hr - $25.82hr
Major Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders plan & optimize shipments into loads tender freight to third-party carriers
- Update Transportation Management System/Mercury Gate with current shipment information.
- Provide visibility to management and the customer by tracking process over-sight auditing researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.
- Complete daily logs and trackers
- Weighs alternative financial decisions before taking action
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Monitor appointment times transit times and other load details to anticipate potential challenges that could affect rates service levels or capacity.
- Identify if timing or scheduling constraints could increase costs or lead to service challenges. Engage Senior Account Manager or Senior Operations Manager to adjust plans as needed to avoid rejected or unserviceable loads.
- Maintain accurate load details customer communications and updates to ensure all records are complete and accessible.
- Organize all shipment documents to ensure easy access for tracking reporting and necessary adjustments.
- Daily checks of scorecards to ensure information is input timely.
QualificationsQualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
Two (2) plus years of experience in Transportation/Supply Chain preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time sensitive situations in a fast paced environment
Excellent problem solving and customer service skills
Advanced desktop computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Outlook required
Strong customer focus
Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers as well as Penske associates
Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to learn and regularly operate various computer systems across different platforms
Regular predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job
