Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Industrial Automation Hardware Engineer to join our Systems Solutions this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing hardware systems for industrial automation applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of control systems hardware integration and industry standards with the ability to deliver solutions that enhance system efficiency and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Hardware Design & Development:
    • Design and develop hardware systems including control panels printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electrical components for industrial automation systems.
    • Prepare detailed schematics wiring diagrams and layout drawings using tools like AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
  2. System Integration:
    • Integrate various hardware components such as PLCs HMIs VFDs sensors and actuators into automation systems.
    • Ensure seamless communication between devices using protocols like Modbus Ethernet/IP or Profinet.
  3. Testing & Validation:
    • Conduct rigorous testing of hardware components and systems to ensure performance reliability and compliance with design specifications.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during development and deployment.
  4. Component Selection:
    • Select appropriate hardware components and materials based on performance cost and compatibility requirements.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality components.
  5. Documentation:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including design specifications BOMs test reports and user manuals.
  6. Compliance & Standards:
    • Ensure all hardware designs comply with relevant industry standards safety regulations and certifications (e.g. UL CE IEC).
  7. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including software developers mechanical engineers and project managers to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications :

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechatronics or a related field:
    • 3-5 years of experience in hardware design for industrial automation systems
    • Hands-on experience with control system hardware and integration.
    • Proficiency in CAD tools like AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN or similar.
    • Knowledge of PLCs SCADA systems industrial communication protocols and embedded systems.
    • Familiarity with electrical standards such as NEC NFPA and IEC.
    • Experience in PCB design and layout tools is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
