BEHAVIORALHEALTH DEPARTMENT
Aspart of Alameda County Health the Behavioral Health Department supports peoplewith Medi-Cal and without insurance living with serious mental illness andsubstance use conditions along their path toward wellness recovery andresiliency. We provide services through a network of contracted mental healthand substance use providers and administer the States resources and trainingfor behavioral health providers case managers and other healthcareprofessionals. We advocate for our patients and families and create space forpersonal engagement in their care.
We areoutpatient specialists for mental health services for older adults and youthsubstance use providers and treatment program specialists advocates forquality improvement and patients rights and psychiatric and integrated healthcare providers.

THE POSITION
Under direction toplan organize and to supervise a multidisciplinary team includingprofessional para-professional and support staff in a public health or mentalhealth district and to do related work as required.
These positions arein Alameda County Health. The Physician IV has supervising responsibilitiesover professional para-professional and support staff and may exercisefunctional and administrative supervision over a program. The Physician IV isdistinguished from the lower-level class of a Physician III in that the latterhas no primary supervisory responsibilities. The Physician IV is furtherdistinguished from the next higher-level class of Physician V in that thelatter is responsible for the overall management of a Division.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AGENCY
Alameda County Emergency Medical Services Agency is a District within Alameda County Health. We are recognized by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority as a Local EMS Agency or LEMSA. LEMSAs throughout the state are responsible for planning implementing evaluating and regulating local EMS systems. Many of our responsibilities and the authority needed to carry our oversight role are derived from Division 2.5 of the California Health and Safety Code and related chapters of Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations.
The Alameda County EMS System is comprised of many stakeholders including dispatch centers first responder agencies ambulance providers hospitals and specialty centers for the emergency care of victims of major trauma stroke and certain serious heart conditions. The Alameda County EMS Agency coordinates the comprehensive emergency medical services system through its contracted and permitted provider organizations as well as through the development and implementation of policies and procedures for prehospital care.
The EMS Agency works closely with system stakeholders as it seeks to continually improve patient care and service delivery through evidence-based policy and program development.
Alameda County EMS promotes health equity through its Injury Prevention Program and Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Program as well as its EMS Corps which helps prepare young people in underserved communities for careers in health care

3) An oral interview examination which will be weighted as 100% of thecandidates final examination score. The oral interview examination may containsituational exercises.
