Job Summary

Interpret blueprints technical drawings and specifications to determine materials and dimensions required
Measure cut shape and assemble wood and other materials to create structures furniture and fixtures
Install wooden elements such as doors windows staircases and custom-built furniture
Repair and restore existing wooden structures and fixtures
Operate and maintain a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment
Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety regulations
Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to complete projects efficiently
Adapt carpentry techniques to suit the tropical climate of Phu Quoc
Maintain a clean and organised work area

Qualifications :

Vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
Proficiency in various carpentry techniques and tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
In-depth knowledge of different wood types and their properties
Excellent skills in measuring cutting and shaping wood
Proficient in using both power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in carpentry
Physical stamina and ability to work in a tropical climate
Expertise in furniture making cabinetry or construction carpentry
Valid safety certifications (e.g. Working at Heights First Aid) preferred
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage time effectively
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Vietnamese is an advantage
