Inspect maintain and test industrial safety equipment such as fire alarm systems fire extinguishers emergency lighting gas detectors and safety signage
Conduct routine safety checks of machinery tools and work areas to identify potential hazards
Assist in implementing and enforcing health safety and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
Support emergency preparedness activities including fire drills evacuation drills and safety training
Report unsafe conditions incidents and near misses and assist with corrective actions
Maintain safety inspection records permits and compliance documentation
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by staff and contractors
Assist in lockout/tagout procedures and safe isolation of equipment during maintenance
Coordinate with supervisors safety officers and contractors to ensure safe work practices
Respond promptly to safety incidents and support emergency response teams
Qualifications :
Diploma or Technical Certificate in Industrial Safety Mechanical Electrical or related field
Basic knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards
Ability to read safety manuals technical drawings and procedures
Good communication and reporting skills
Physically fit and able to work in industrial environments
Willingness to work shifts weekends or on-call if required
