About the role

• Safely transport patients equipment and furniture across hospital wards as directed by the Transport Office or Wardsperson Supervisor.

• Assist patients with movement positioning and access to meals under the guidance of nursing staff.

• Collect and deliver specimens blood products and medications as required.

• Support infection prevention practices and maintain a clean safe environment.

• Provide respectful assistance with patient transfers including the transport of deceased patients in accordance with hospital procedures.

About you

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with basic computer literacy.

• Awareness of work health and safety and infection prevention principles.

• Initiative self-reliance and flexibility in a dynamic clinical environment.

• CPR accreditation or willingness to obtain.
