Software Development Engineer 5

Primary Function:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform/DevOps Engineer with 5-8 years of proven experience in regulated environments. The ideal candidate will support small to mid-sized development teams focusing on infrastructure automation cloud integration and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible for dynamic multi-environment deployments
• Automate infrastructure provisioning patching release management and establish self-healing infrastructure principles
• Deploy and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins GitLab CI or CircleCI with container security and compliance checks
• Manage Kubernetes clusters (GKE AKS EKS ECS) including lifecycle management RBAC hardening and container orchestration
• Support AWS cloud environments (EC2 VPC EBS ALB RDS S3 EKS) and implement capacity planning for on-premises and cloud models
• Work with NoSQL datastores (MongoDB) and RDBMS (SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL) for database management and optimization
• Support service-oriented architecture (SOA) and microservices deployments with formal design processes and documentation
• Configure networking components including subnets VPCs stateful firewalls IPTables CIDR notation and implement security best practices
• Implement comprehensive monitoring using Splunk Nagios ELK Prometheus or Grafana with alerting and SLO/SLI tracking
• Provide off-hours support for critical applications and mission-critical production troubleshooting

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications:

• 5-8 years DevOps/Infrastructure engineering experience in regulated environments with agile methodologies
• Hands-on AWS expertise (EC2 VPC EBS ALB RDS S3 EKS) and Kubernetes cluster management (GKE/AKS/EKS/ECS)
• Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
• Proficiency in at least 2 programming languages (Python Ruby Java) with strong scripting skills
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitLab CI CircleCI) and container image security
• Demonstrated networking experience: subnets firewalls ports/protocols Windows Firewall IPTables CIDR notation
• Experience with Linux OS (RHEL CentOS Ubuntu); RedHat Satellite and Windows OS automation desired
• Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (Splunk Nagios ELK) and scaling distributed data systems
• Team player excellent mentor strong analytical/problem-solving skills and effective cross-functional communication
• B.S. in Computer Science or related technical major or commensurate experience

We provide market-competitive compensation packages inclusive of base pay incentives benefits and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role as actual pay will be determined based on several factors including experience skills and qualifications.
