Solution Architect (Cyber IAM)

- Contract Duration: 12 Months

Our client is a leading professional services and consulting firm delivering strategy technology systems integration and operations support across industries including Government Financial Services and Utilities.
About the role:
Sitting within the Cyber IAM Squad an opportunity exists for a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure scalable and resilient Identity Access Management (IAM) solutions for one of their utility sector clients. The role will support multiple IAM workstreams and contribute to the organisations cybersecurity strategy by applying best practices emerging technologies and architectural frameworks.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet compliance governance and risk requirements while integrating seamlessly with existing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of IAM solutions across cloud on-premises and hybrid environments.
- Define security architecture patterns and reference models.
- Conduct security control assessments and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and governance alignment.
- Communicate complex security concepts in a clear business-relevant manner.
- Review technical designs for adherence to security architecture standards.
- Produce architectural artifacts including solution definitions security designs and decision records.
Required Experience:
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Expertise in IAM domains including Identity Lifecycle Management RBAC MFA PAM and Conditional Access.
- Experience with IAM platforms such as SailPoint BeyondTrust CyberArk and Delinea.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security Stack including Entra ID Defender for Identity and Conditional Access Policy.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as AESCSF ISO27001 and NIST.
- Ability to apply architectural frameworks and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
