Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior Technical Project Manager. This is a 6-month contract W2 role that is two days hybrid in the Evanston area. The reason this position exists is to lead complex IT projects across Infrastructure Operations and Digital Platforms for the organization ensuring alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders and delivering high-impact enterprise initiatives.

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

• 6 years of IT project management experience including at least 3 years driving enterprise-scale initiatives in infrastructure operations or digital platforms.
• Hands-on technical experience in infrastructure operations or platforms prior to moving into project management.
• Deep familiarity with hybrid IT environments (Azure AWS GCP physical datacenters).
• Proven background managing budgets forecasting resource planning and vendor relationships.
• Strong leadership stakeholder management and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to engage in technical discussions and define technical approaches in collaboration with architects and engineers.
• Experience with risk management issue escalation tracking dependencies across multiple workstreams.
• Preferred: project management certifications (PMP Agile etc.).

Preferred: experience with security compliance or regulatory IT initiatives.

What Youll Do (Skills Used in this Position)

• Lead projects from initiation through delivery ensuring scope schedule and budget targets are met.

Projects may include:

• Digital Platforms: ERP enhancements application integrations and adoption web hosting software development lifecycle (SDLC) and cross-platform data flows.
• IT Infrastructure: Migrations between clouds and datacenters Azure/AWS hybrid integrations network modernization and M365 enhancement initiatives.
• IT Operations: IT process improvement ServiceNow enhancements (ITSM/CMDB/automation) and operational tool rollouts.

• Define technical approaches and solutions in collaboration with engineers architects and business owners.
• Serve as liaison between IT and business stakeholders aligning project outcomes with organizational goals.
• Oversee project budgets forecasts and resource planning coordinating with vendor management.
• Manage third-party vendors ensuring deliverables contracts and performance obligations are met.
• Identify document and mitigate risks issues and dependencies across projects.
• Provide executive-level updates (status health risks milestones) clearly and concisely.
• Promote best practices in governance reporting and project delivery.

Compensation Information
The expected salary range for this position is $53 - $80 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance 401(k) and paid time off. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
