Job Summary
Jabil is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician to work 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:30pm) in our Memphis TN location.
How will you make an impact
As a Maintenance Technician with Jabil you will be responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs on equipment fixtures and systems and duties include troubleshooting conducting inspections and keeping maintenance records.
What will you do
Perform electrical painting and/or carpentry repairs of fixtures and equipment on company premises.
Oversee installation relocation and reinstallation of new and/or existing equipment.
Maintain and repair production support air compressors air dryers and vacuum systems.
Perform simple engineering calculations for proposed new equipment.Update mechanical prints when changing mandate.
Maintain all air conditioning and ventilation equipment within manufacturer specifications.
Submit proposals and recommendations to department supervisor for upgrades or changes.
Maintain maintenance records for each piece of equipment responsible for.
Troubleshoot and conduct periodic inspections to determine maintenance work required.
Follow Preventive Maintenance Instructions and ensure that the records for such are properly documented.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here
Education & Experience:
High School or GED Required. Associates degree in electronics preferred.
At least 3 years of maintenance experience required preferably in a manufacturing environment OR an equivalent combination of education training or experience.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Use of basic hand tools and equipment.
Understanding of safety practices and requirements.
Experience utilizing Windows Products (Excel Word and Outlook).
Experience taking apart machines and putting them back together.
Strong Communication skills both verbal and written.
