The Vendor Analyst Student plays a key role within the Vendor Management Office (VMO) supporting Data & Information Technology (D&IT) stakeholders and Vendor Managers in achieving successful measurable and sustainable business outcomes with strategic vendors while actively mitigating risk.

This role will contribute to the management of Cenovus D&IT portfolio including Software Hardware Cloud services SaaS and Data Subscriptions. The successful candidate will assist in facilitating the end-to-end renewals process and support new procurement requirements ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance standards.

What youll do

• Support to D&IT Stakeholders and Vendor Managers in the facilitation of Products Professional Services and Subscriptions

• Facilitate the businesss needs for ongoing technical support on selected products by ensuring that maintenance and support renewals are managed/ordered in advance of their expiration.

• Assist in the annual review of licensing agreements in collaboration with service managers to ensure continued value for Cenovus.

• Collaborate with the team to identify savings opportunities for renewals software licensing and services. Follow through with vendors and customers to acquire identified savings.

• Support vendor performance based on established SLAs; handle vendor scorecards and dashboards for operations and management

• Collaborate with the Team and a Developer on enhancements to our work intake software

• Support reinforcing the accuracy and consistency of data quality to optimize better decision-making.

Who you are

• Legally authorized to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g. work visa)

• Available to begin work in May 2026

Education

• Must be enrolled in a Finance Supply Chain Business or Data Analytics Undergraduate Program at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work termOR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term

• Candidates currently enrolled in either a masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered

• New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
