Duration: 13 Weeks (Extendable)
Shift: 5x8 Hours MondayFriday 10:30 PM 7:00 AM
Pay Rate: $2833 Weekly Gross
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team for a travel assignment in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating Siemens MRI systems and demonstrate a high level of technical accuracy professionalism and patient care. This role involves working in a collaborative clinical environment while ensuring quality imaging results and maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the MRI process.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality MRI scans according to established protocols and physician orders.
Operate Siemens MRI systems (Aera/Skyra/Sola) efficiently and accurately.
Prepare patients for MRI procedures explaining the process and ensuring their safety and comfort.
Review and verify physician orders patient history and clinical indications.
Maintain MRI equipment including performing quality control checks and reporting maintenance issues.
Ensure proper patient positioning and use of contrast materials when necessary.
Follow safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure and maintain magnetic field safety.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate image interpretation and workflow efficiency.
Adhere to HIPAA OSHA and facility safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR system.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist.
Proficiency with Siemens MRI systems (Aera Skyra Sola).
Current ARRT (MR) certification.
Active BLS certification (AHA).
Valid Ohio State License (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
Preferred:
Experience working in an acute care or hospital setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
Work Environment:
Hospital or diagnostic imaging setting.
Overnight schedule requiring independent operation and critical thinking.
Exposure to magnetic fields requiring adherence to strict MRI safety standards.
