Your New Role and Responsibilities

The JCSE team supports the advanced systems atHeadquarters Joint Operations Command (HQJOC)a critical hub for multi-agency collaboration and command of Australian Defence Force operations. With 113 integrated operational spaces HQJOC relies on seamless system coordination to ensure mission success.

The ITSM Change Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and driving change management activities across our technical teams ensuring seamless implementation aligned with ITIL best practices and governance standards.

The role will:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end change processes including initiation assessment approval and closure of changes.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL-aligned change management procedures and maintain high-quality documentation.
  • Govern the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) evaluating scheduling impacts and dependencies.
  • Collaborate with release managers and project leads to align change activities with broader delivery timelines.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and ensure effective stakeholder communication.

What Youll Bring to Make an Impact

  • Proven experience in ITSM or change management roles within ITIL frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to process excellence and documentation quality.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and service reliability.
  • ITIL V3/V4 certification preferred; additional qualifications in service management or project delivery are advantageous.
