Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities for a Flange Operator include but are not limited to:
- Obtain GMAW 1G certification
- Use GMAW process
- Safely operate overhead cranes forklifts and other equipment as needed.
- Read and interpret shop drawings.
- Perform tasks as directed by the Line Supervisor and/or the Line Group Leader.
- Understand order processing (shop releases and run orders).
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Be able to obtain GMAW 1G certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- GMAW experience
- Possess basic understanding of metal building systems fabrication
