Job Summary

The Opportunity:

In the role of Retail Sales Lead you will be responsible for managing selling and growing a portfolio of Caraways existing accounts and programs as well as identifying selling and growing select new partner channel and business development opportunities. You will report into Caraways Chief Strategy Officer and participate in the overall retail wholesale and business development strategies.

You are highly knowledgeable about the home goods or lifestyle retail industry and come with established relationships within the Retail space. You are highly proactive responsive and collaborative and excel at fostering new and existing partnerships. Youre eager to be hands on yet strategic in your approach. Youre a great negotiator have a strong bias to action and execution and are an entrepreneurial spirit at heart.

Responsibilities:

Retail Partner Management:

  • Act as the primary sales & account management lead a portfolio of Caraways existing retail accounts ensuring extremely strong partnership to these accounts support and drive strong growth.
  • Proactively manage and build relationships with all retail partners handling day-to-day communication support training sales marketing and all account needs.
  • Partner with the Chief Strategy Officer on all accounts as well as retail and business development support execution and strategy.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Partner with existing and new accounts to creatively develop and execute growth plans for each.
  • Participate in Caraways overall Retail Omni Channel and Business Development strategic planning and execution.
  • Be entrepreneurial in the support business development and growth planning and execution of your owned accounts. Work with the account both at HQ and infield level to learn support and scale our business.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to refine strategies merchandising marketing and enhance sales effectiveness for these accounts as well as Caraways internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the Caraway team to develop and implement a comprehensive merchandising strategy for retail ensuring alignment with brand goals and customer needs.

Business Development & Channel Expansion:

  • Support the Chief Strategy Officer in identifying and pursuing new retail channel opportunities partners sales channels etc and contributing to business development initiatives.
  • Assist in developing channel-specific sales plans and promotional strategies to expand Caraways retail and omni channel footprint.
  • Prepare and execute business proposals sales presentations and other collateral needed for new and existing retail and business development partnerships.

Sales Support & Administration:

  • Prepare presentation materials sales reports and other documents required for effective selling and relationship management as well as internal reporting.
  • Optimize and streamline sales processes. Drive strong execution of new account and program set up and ongoing management on all retail wholesale and business development programs. Ensure all retail-related information is current organized and accessible to the sales team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive insights and actionable strategies optimizing product assortment and enhancing overall performance.

Knowledge skills and abilities:

  • 6 years of experience in sales or account management ideally within the retail or consumer goods industry.
  • Proven experience with managing retail partner accounts with a strong understanding of the home goods or lifestyle products market.
  • Excellent presentation skills with an eye for detail and the ability to tailor content to various retail audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Data-driven and analytical mindset with a solid understanding of retail sales metrics.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with senior leadership and across departments.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to identifying and solving business challenges.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140000 - $165000 - Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors determining the base pay at offer including but not limited to: skills qualifications experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
