Seeking Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team of 7 MDs and 4 APPs. Patient panels are well established with room for growth as the provider ramps up his/her practice. Our Ob/Gyn team is open and willing to train the right candidate for this position which offers a good variety in ones practice and a strong learning environment to further enhance ones skill set within this specialty.
- 1.0 FTE Work schedule is Monday Wednesday Thursday Friday
- Call: 1 Weekday (Evening/Night) per week and 1:4 Weekend Rotation
- Support growth of urogyn obesity medicine and menopause services with call to be First Assist for OBGYN Surgical Cases
- Practice may include prenatal and postnatal care gynecology problem visits OR surgical assistance and postoperative follow-up
- Fertility program on site
- Urogynecology support on site
- Low and high-risk obstetric population
- Well established practice in a growing community
- Outpatient 12-15 patients per day with ability to ramp up upon comfort level
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment knowledge and decision-making skills while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from young adult to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients co-workers and others.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelors or Masters degree in Physician Assistant program from an accredited program/institution.
- OR and clinical GYN experience ideal but new graduates will be considered as well
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
- Current certification in CPR
- National certification in applicable area.
- Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
