Job Title: RN Labor & Delivery Nights
Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery Unit caring for mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum intrapartum and postpartum periods. The RN ensures the delivery of safe evidence-based care by applying the nursing process of assessment planning implementation and evaluation while maintaining established standards for perinatal nursing practice and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities: -
Provide direct nursing care to mothers and newborns in labor delivery and recovery.

Assess plan implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

Monitor fetal and maternal conditions responding promptly to changes in status.
-
Assist with deliveries and provide postpartum care and education.
-
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policy.
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
-
Ensure patient staff and visitor safety within the unit.
-
Communicate effectively with the care team to ensure continuity of care.

Escalate clinical or safety concerns through the chain of command when necessary.
Qualifications (Legally Required): -
Active RN License required
-
BLS (AHA) required
-
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
-
ACLS (AHA) preferred
-
Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or perinatal nursing required per company policy
Shift Details: -
Type: Regular / Non-Per Diem

Shift: Nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (12-hour shift)

Schedule: Variable based on departmental needs
