Pay Rate: $33.00/hr $43.00/hr DOE

Employment Type: Contract 12 Months

Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (may require occasional on-site support or extended hours during project phases)

Tekberry is looking for a highly motivated Project Process Engineer II to join our client a global leader in materials science manufacturing and process innovation. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.

Responsibilities:

Process Design & Optimization

Design analyze and improve process systems to increase efficiency reduce waste and optimize overall performance.
Conduct process simulations modeling and data analysis using tools such as Aspen Plus MATLAB or similar software.
Evaluate existing workflows recommending modifications to improve quality and productivity.

Process Engineering

Support process control and qualification recipe creation and process integration.
Develop and execute experiments to validate and optimize process parameters.
Troubleshoot process issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Project Management

Plan execute and manage process improvement projects ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.
Coordinate with vendors suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet technical and operational goals.
Track project milestones manage risks and implement corrective actions as needed.

Collaboration

Work closely with production maintenance quality and R&D teams to resolve process-related challenges.
Communicate project progress requirements and results to stakeholders and management.

Testing & Validation

Develop testing plans and protocols for process validation and system reliability.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and apply tools such as DOE 8D and FMEA for problem-solving.
Ensure safety and quality compliance across all process development activities.

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with applicable safety environmental and quality standards (OSHA ISO GMP FDA).
Create and maintain technical documentation process flow diagrams (PFDs) P&IDs and SOPs.

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to enhance process performance and implement best practices.
Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Stay current with emerging process technologies and industry trends.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Chemical Electrical or Aerospace Engineering (Master s preferred).
1 3 years of experience in process engineering project management or manufacturing optimization.
Proficiency with process design and analysis tools (e.g. Aspen Plus HYSYS AutoCAD Plant 3D MATLAB).
Understanding process control systems instrumentation and automation technologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in RCA and data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in manufacturing chemical processing or high-tech production environments.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt PMP or Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
Demonstrated success leading or supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Work Environment:

100% onsite at the Newton NC facility.
May involve occasional travel to supplier or project sites.
Requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
