Job Summary
Pastry Commis Chef Luxury Lodge Kruger National Park
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and motivated Pastry Commis Chef to join a prestigious luxury lodge located in the Kruger National Park. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to develop their skills within a high-end lodge environment and contribute to exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present high-quality pastries desserts and baked goods in line with the lodges standards.
Assist the pastry chef in daily kitchen operations including mise en place production and service.
Maintain strict hygiene cleanliness and food safety standards.
Support menu development and creative presentation of desserts and baked items.
Ensure consistent quality and attention to detail in all pastry and dessert offerings.
Collaborate effectively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations.
Assist with stock control ordering and inventory management of pastry ingredients.
Candidate Requirements
Formal culinary training or relevant qualification in pastry or baking.
Previous experience in a luxury hotel lodge or high-end restaurant pastry department preferred.
Strong technical pastry skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Passionate about delivering exceptional food experiences to guests.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional kitchen team.
Flexible reliable and committed to maintaining high standards.
