Job Title: QC Welding Inspector (CWI or CSWIP Certified)
Location: Jeddah Saudi Arabia

Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced QC Welding Inspectors with valid CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) or CSWIP certification for a reputed client in Jeddah. The ideal candidate should have prior Gulf experience in oil & gas construction or fabrication projects with strong knowledge of international welding standards and quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of weld joints in accordance with project and code requirements.
Review and interpret Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT).
Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with applicable codes (ASME AWS API) and project specifications.
Verify material traceability joint preparation preheat interpass temperature and post-weld heat treatment parameters.
Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports NDT records and welding documentation.
Coordinate with the QA/QC department and project teams to ensure welding quality objectives are met.
Identify and report non-conformities issue NCRs and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
Supervise and support NDT activities including RT UT PT and MT as per project requirements.
Liaise with clients third-party inspectors and consultants for welding inspections and approvals.
Ensure adherence to HSE (Health Safety & Environment) standards during all inspection activities.
Essential Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.
Valid CWI (AWS) or CSWIP 3.1/3.2 Certification is mandatory.
Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection preferably in the Gulf region.
Strong knowledge of international welding codes such as ASME Sec IX API 1104 AWS D1.1.
Proficiency in reading isometric drawings and weld maps.
Skills Required:
Excellent knowledge of welding processes (SMAW GTAW GMAW SAW etc.).
Familiarity with NDT methods and inspection techniques.
Good report writing and documentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
