As a Data Processing Specialist at Colour Line Hair Studio you will play a key role in ensuring that the salons operational data systems are accurate efficient and reliable. Youll be responsible for processing and transforming raw data (appointment records retail inventory vendor transactions customer histories) into structured formats that support the salons mission of personalized service innovation and client-centric experience. Working closely with salon front-desk stylists retail inventory and administrative teams you will help the studio maintain high standards of operational excellence and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive review and process incoming data from various sources: appointment logs stylist service sheets client profiles retail product shipments vendor invoices product returns and inventory counts.
Cleanse and validate data: check for missing fields inconsistencies outdated entries; collaborate with stylists front-desk or inventory staff to clarify and correct information.
Enter processed data into salon systems/spreadsheets/databases: maintain client service histories retail product inventory levels vendor purchase orders shipment logs and returns.
Perform data transformations and standardisation: apply naming conventions remove duplicates merge legacy data categorise services/products prepare datasets for reporting.
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports: e.g. appointment volume trends retail product turnover rates inventory discrepancies vendor shipment delays backlog of data entries and error rates.
Maintain documentation: record data-processing workflows update procedures for data entry archiving version control ensure consistency across records.
Support operational efficiency: collaborate with front-desk stylists retail and inventory teams to ensure that data reflects in-salon activities and that operations can rely on accurate digital records.
Recommend improvements: identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks refine templates/spreadsheets streamline processes to reduce error rates and increase speed of data handling.
Uphold data confidentiality and security: handle client stylist vendor and internal salon data in compliance with privacy policies secure storage of records and proper access/archiving protocols.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or certificate in data management office technology business administration or related field preferred.
Prior experience in data entry or data processing role (1-3 years preferred) exposure to retail service-industry or salon environment is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy when processing large volumes of data.
Proficiency in spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets) able to apply filters formulas cleaning techniques and comfortable learning new database/tools.
Strong organisational skills: able to prioritise tasks meet deadlines work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic salon environment.
Excellent communication skills able to liaise with stylists front-desk and retail teams ask clarifying questions follow up on data issues and present reports to management.
Interest in the beauty/salon industry or retail operations is a plus and aligns with Colour Lines culture of creativity and client-focus.
Reliable and flexible: willing to work some peak hours (evenings or weekends) if required to support salon operations or data-entry deadlines.
