We are hiring full-time onsite Middle School Self-Contained Special Education Teachers. This position focuses on supporting students with significant social-emotional and behavioral needs in a structured nurturing classroom environment.
As part of the schools specialized program youll deliver individualized instruction implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and integrate social-emotional learning into daily routines. Collaboration is keyyoull work closely with paraprofessionals related service providers and families to build consistent supports that promote both academic and emotional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe predictable and supportive classroom culture.
- Implement and monitor BIPs and individualized learning plans.
- Encourage independence resilience and positive peer interactions.
- Partner with school staff and families to align strategies and track progress.
- Provide targeted instruction in academics emotional regulation and coping strategies.
Requirements
- Valid Minnesota teaching certificate.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field.
- Experience supporting students with behavioral or social-emotional needs preferred.
