Position Overview:
Zeeco is seeking an experienced Controls & Instrumentation (C&I) Engineer with a strong foundation in FEED and Detailed Engineering for Burner Systems used in Heaters Boilers and Fired Equipment.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on complex multi-disciplinary projects in the Oil & Gas Refining and Petrochemical sectors collaborating with global engineering teams and contributing to Zeecos mission of delivering cleaner safer and more efficient combustion solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute complete C&I design packages - from concept through commissioning - ensuring full compliance with API NFPA ISA IEC and ATEX/Ex standards.
- Develop and review detailed P&IDs Control Narratives Logic Diagrams Cause & Effect Matrices and control philosophies for Burner Management Systems (BMS) DCS and ESD systems.
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables including Instrument Index Datasheets Hook-ups Loop/Wiring Diagrams Cable Schedules and Panel Drawings.
- Perform sizing and selection of Ex-proof and Intrinsically Safe instruments suitable for hazardous (Zone/Div) areas.
- Participate in Design Reviews HAZOP HAZID SIL Studies and interface meetings with clients and EPC partners.
- Interface closely with internal and external stakeholders to integrate C&I systems within the overall plant architecture.
- Provide technical direction for vendor selection FAT/SAT activities and support commissioning and troubleshooting at site.
- Collaborate across Zeecos international offices for design reviews standardization and global project execution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Preferred Exposure:
- Working knowledge of Burner Management Systems (BMS) Combustion Control Systems (CCS) and associated field instrumentation.
- Familiarity with WHRB HRSG and process heaters including burner operations and safety interlocks.
- Practical exposure to FAT SAT commissioning and troubleshooting in refinery or petrochemical environments.
- Experience in CEMS flame scanners analyzers and combustion safety instrumentation is an added advantage.
Tools & Software Proficiency:
- PLC/DCS platforms: Allen Bradley Siemens Emerson DeltaV Honeywell or equivalent.
- Engineering tools: AutoCAD SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/Intools).
- Project tools: MS Office MS Project and other project management software.
Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelors or Masters in Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering.

- Site Experience: Minimum 3 years in FAT/SAT commissioning or troubleshooting preferred.
- Global Exposure: Strong familiarity with international design standards (API NFPA ISA IEC ATEX) preferred.
