Were looking for a Regulatory Specialist - Hybrid in Shakopee MN

As a Regulatory Specialist you will support cross-functional efforts to comply with applicable environmental health and safety requirements.

How you will make an impact:

  • Work closely with Compliance Procurement Engineering and product development teams to create an overall program strategy to comply with global environmental health and safety requirements.

  • Identify and formally track evolving product regulatory requirements related to restricted or prohibited substances on a global basis and notify Procurement Engineering and R&D of cutover dates to ensure adequate planning.

  • Support and track product-level information by surveying and working with direct materials suppliers to ensure compliance with applicable regulations (i.e. presence of restricted or prohibited chemicals).

  • Coordinate regulatory submissions updating and managing website disclosures and responding to customer inquiries related to product compliance information (e.g. RoHS REACH WEEE other compliance statements)

  • Partner with Engineering and R&D teams to verify product details comply with existing and emerging regulatory requirements such as chemical content product labelling and health and safety documentation requirements.

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to strengthen global compliance strategy.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

  • 2 years of experience in compliance engineering or procurement role

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Science Environment or related field

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Project management or experience building and developing regulatory oversight programs

  • Understanding of regulations impacting restricted/prohibited chemicals (e.g. RoHS REACH Prop 65)

  • Experience tracking and managing regulatory requirements on a global scale

  • Experience gathering and reporting sustainability data at the enterprise and/or product level

  • Ability to work collaboratively and build consensus cross-functionally

  • Comfort managing large quantities of complex data and learning new systems

  • Comfort communicating with external stakeholders

  • Experience with Agile PLM tool

Compensation Range:


The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $67959-$99673 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location education skills and experience.
