Job Summary
Position Summary
The lifeguard position is responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and participants by monitoring water activities enforcing safety rules and providing emergency assistance when necessary. Lifeguards are responsible for educating all patrons of pool policies and procedures to maintain the safety of all people using the pool and or waterfront. Strong communication skills physical fitness and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for success in this role.
Minimum Qualifications
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Current American Red Cross Waterfront Certification or willingness to obtain 60 days after hire Ability to work and communicate effectively with others Work less traditional shifts such as early mornings evenings and weekends
