Job Summary

South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) is seeking a 12-month locum Plastic surgeon with potential for a permanent position. Join Nova Scotias thriving healthcare ecosystem where your expertise is valued and your contributions drive innovative compassionate care for generations to come.

Responsibilities

General plastic surgery including:

Elective hand procedures
Skin cancer management
Emergency department referrals including facial and hand trauma and minor burns
Fully supported regular main OR and ambulatory clinic time is available in addition to an office with administrative support
Overhead and administrative expenses are shared with two other plastic surgeons
Affiliation with Dalhousie University with option to participate in research and surgical education
Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
Interest in breast reduction is considered an asset

Expected Hours

Long term locum 0.8 FTE
Call coverage for urgent referrals shared between group

Qualifications :

Candidates must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) or proof of alternative coverage.
